AMP ONLINE

F R E M O N T

Amplify Student Ministry is going online! This page serves to help you get connected with Amp Middle School and Amp High School while we endeavor to follow Jesus together virtually for the next few weeks.

SAME MISSION, NEW MODEL

  • Our aim is still to make disciples of students who make disciples of students, but our ministry model is being reshaped until we can rejoin face-to-face. Despite this, we believe that God’s plans to win students to Himself will not be stopped.
  • Where we previously met regularly for worship gatherings and events, we are readjusting our meetings to be entirely online until it is prudent to meet in person again.
  • We believe that the best way to connect students to God’s family during this time will be through us continuing to meet in small groups via video conferencing and by maintaining communication throughout the week.

HOW TO JOIN OUR ONLINE GATHERINGS

  • Amplify will be using the desktop and mobile application, Zoom, for all of our gatherings.
  • To join a Zoom gathering on Sunday morning or Tuesday nights, participants must have a specific link that will be emailed out weekly once you have filled out the Connect Form. Once a student has Zoom set up on a device, all they have to do is click the link at the start time of the meeting to join it.
  • If you are new to Zoom, you can follow these instructions to be ready to start meeting:

Watch this tutorial.

It mentions installing a number of items but the only things you need to do are sign up here, download and install their software titled “Zoom Client for Meetings,” and ensure that you have the Firefox or Chrome browser installed on your computer. You do not need to download any of the other items.
