LGBTQ+ and the Gospel

Resonate and LGBTQ+

In humility and love, we invite you to join the conversation through our upcoming one-day conference as we look at how the gospel and the LGBTQ+ community bisect. We do not assume that we have these complex issues all resolved, but we long to be empowered to live in gospel unity, preserving dignity, loving and welcoming the marginalized, while observing the historic Christian doctrine of marriage and sexuality. Our hope is to become disciples of Jesus who walk with Jesus to live and love like Jesus, as to become more like Jesus.

One step in helping us engage culture is our conference on LGBTQ+ and the Gospel, with speaker Dr. Preston Sprinkle, co-founder and president of The Center for Faith, Sexuality & Gender. We invite you to come, discover, grieve, lament, heal, and ask questions as we learn and grow together.

This is an open conference, so we want to encourage anyone who attends Resonate, other churches and anyone in the LGBTQ+ community to join us wherever they are in their faith journey. The Gospel shows us that we are more sinful than we know, yet Jesus is more gracious than we can ever imagine, as we are all made in the image of God with infinite worth and value to our Creator who sent His Son to die for us.

Resonate believes the historical Christian teaching of marriage and sexuality and desires to become a church that is safe for all those who are seeking to experience God through discovering the love of Jesus displayed through His grace and truth. As we enjoy this grace and embody love, we long to engage in compassionate conversations that bring wholeness and unity in our communities.
