A "FOR THE CITY" MINISTRY

OMED exists to be missional through relationships, support, or program facilitation that exemplifies the heart of Jesus to the Afghan communities of the Bay Area.

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

It's that time of year again! Join with our For the City partner Omed and our For the Nations partner Afghan-American Church 

to bless Afghan families in need with school supplies.

2024 BACKPACK DRIVE

PAST EVENT: 2023 BACKPACK DRIVE

In partnership with the Afghan American Church, OMED hosted a School Backpack Drive to bless the Afghan community around the Bay Area. Our mission was to fill 350 backpacks with the school supplies. So how did it go?

On August 4, 2023, Resonators gathered together to fill up hundreds of backpacks with new school supplies to be delivered to local Afghan families in need throughout the Bay Area. To those of you who participated, thank you for your generous donations of money, supplies, effort, and time to love our neighbors and city well!
