TITLE: Executive Pastor of Operations

REPORTS TO: Lead Pastor

HOURS: Full-time, 40-hour/week

EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediate hire

Help Build What God Is Doing in the Bay Area

Resonate Church is a fast-growing, multi-campus, gospel-centered church in one of the most spiritually challenging and diverse regions in the country. What began 16 years ago in a living room has grown into a movement reaching over 3,000 people weekly—and we believe we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for an Executive Pastor of Operations who sees systems, strategy, and stewardship as ministry—and wants to use their leadership to fuel disciple-making at scale.

Why This Role Matters

This isn’t a back-office operations role.

This is a mission-critical leadership role that helps turn vision into reality. You’ll partner closely with the Lead Pastor to:

• Bring clarity and execution to big-picture vision

• Build systems that accelerate (not hinder) ministry

• Steward resources in a way that multiplies impact

• Help position Resonate for the next 100 years of church planning and discipleship

If you’re wired to build, scale, and lead, and you care deeply about the local church, this role sits at the intersection of both.

What You’ll Get to Do

Lead Financial Strategy with Kingdom Impact

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

• Ensure financial clarity, health, and integrity

• Align every dollar toward advancing the mission

• Help guide major financial decisions that shape the future of the church

Shape a Culture of Generosity

• Champion generosity as a key part of discipleship—not just giving

• Lead church-wide initiatives and campaigns (in partnership with Generis)

• Help people take meaningful next steps in trusting God with their resources

• Translate vision into clear, compelling communication

Expand Our Physical Footprint

• Identify and pursue new campus and facility opportunities

• Build strategic relationships for partnerships and acquisitions

• Oversee stewardship and development of current properties

• Help create a long-term facilities strategy for growth

Build Systems That Scale

• Design and refine systems for finance, staffing, and operations

• Improve hiring processes alongside ministry leaders

• Remove friction so ministry can move faster

• Build infrastructure that supports a growing, multi-campus church

What Success Looks Like

• The Lead Pastor’s vision is executed clearly and effectively

• Financial systems are strong, trusted, and forward-looking

• Generosity is growing as a visible expression of discipleship

• New spaces and opportunities are opening for ministry

• Systems are helping—not slowing—what God is doing

Who You Are

You’re not just an operator—you’re a mission-driven builder.

You bring:

• A deep love for Jesus and His Church

• The character and qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1)

• Alignment with Resonate’s theology, values, and mission

You’re wired to:

• Turn vision into action

• Lead through complexity with clarity

• Build systems that actually work

• Thrive in a “second-chair” role—leading without needing the spotlight

Your Experience

• Senior leadership experience in a church, nonprofit, or business

• Background in operations, finance (CFO/COO), or similar role

• Experience managing large budgets ($25M+)

• Experience in real estate, facilities, or expansion strategy

• MBA or equivalent experience preferred

Your First Year First 90 Days

• Build trust with key leaders

• Assess current systems, finances, and facilities

• Identify top priorities

First 6 Months

• Strengthen financial systems and reporting

• Help lead a generosity initiative

• Identify future facility opportunities

First 12 Months

• Increase engagement in generosity

• Establish a clear facilities strategy

• Implement systems that accelerate ministry

Our Culture

At Resonate, culture isn’t just what we say—it’s how we live, lead, and make decisions together.

We are family

• As beloved children of God, we live as loved people.

• Everything we do is about the Father’s business to bring glory to God.

We are a team

• Teams move together in unity to fulfill God’s mission.

• We build trust by speaking truth with kindness.

We have a job

• Multiplying leaders takes deliberate development.

• Stewarding ministry well means owning outcomes.

If This Is You…

You see operations as ministry. You love building things that last.

You want your leadership to directly fuel disciple-making.

We’d love to talk.
